Privacy Policy

BiblePath is a Bible reader and reading tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles — which is simple, because BiblePath is private by design.

What we collect

Nothing. BiblePath does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

• No account. The app works without sign-up, email, or login.
• No analytics. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
• No network transmission of your data. Your reading progress, journal, and highlights never leave your device. The full Bible text is bundled inside the app, so reading works completely offline.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following locally on your device only:

• The name and avatar you enter during setup
• Your chosen Bible canon (Protestant or Catholic) and color theme
• Which chapters you have marked as read, and when
• Your verse highlights and reader text preferences
• Your reading plans and their progress
• Journal entries: captions, reactions, reflections, and any photos or voice notes you attach (saved in the app's private storage on your device)
• Discipleship course progress
• App settings, including any accountability-partner email addresses you add

You can export all of this as a backup file at any time (Settings → Export my data), and you can erase all of it at any time (Settings → Reset all data). Deleting the app also deletes all data.

Email features

Two features open a pre-written email in your own mail app — nothing is sent by BiblePath itself, and nothing happens unless you press Send:

• Accountability partners. The app pre-fills a progress update addressed to the partner emails you added. The addresses are stored only on your device.
• “I have believed.” On the gospel page you can choose to notify the developer. This opens a pre-written email in your mail app; you decide whether to send it.

Notifications

The optional daily reading reminder uses local notifications scheduled on your device. No push server is involved.

Bible text

The Bible text included in the app is the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain.
